Privacy

TTSW is a hobby project. This page describes what data the site handles today and why. If we add features that handle personal data in new ways, such as accounts or payments, we will update this page before they go live, and we will not use data you already gave us for a new purpose without asking you first.

How to contact

You can contact us via email: ttsetupwizard@gmail.com. For anything about your data, write to that address.

What stays in your browser

Your setup choices, last results, tournament brackets, pinned games, and theme are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them. When you press Randomize, your settings are sent to the server to compute the result; the server does not keep a copy.

Suggestion form

When you use the suggestion form, we store the type you chose, your message and, only if you fill them in, your name and contact details (email or a username such as BGG or Reddit).

• Why: to read suggestions and, if you left contact details, to ask follow-up questions or arrange help with game components.
• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site for the message (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); your consent for the optional name and contact details (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
• How long: name and contact details are deleted automatically 12 months after you send the form. The message itself is kept without them. Messages detected as spam are deleted after 30 days.
• We do not store your IP address with your suggestion. To limit spam, a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address is held in memory for at most one day and never saved.

We never sell or share your data, and we never add you to a mailing list.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and which games are randomized. This helps to see overall acivity decide which games and features to work on. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device information; Google may process this data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not send your suggestion text, name or contact details to Google Analytics. You can block Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or any tracker blocker.

Links to other sites

TTSW links to BoardGameGeek, Reddit, Buy Me a Coffee. Their own privacy policies apply once you are there.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing. Email ttsetupwizard@gmail.com. Because we have no accounts, tell us roughly when you sent a suggestion and what it said so we can find it.

Children

You don’t need to share any personal details to use TTSW. If you are under 16, please leave the name and contact fields of the suggestion form empty, or ask a parent to fill them in for you.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
